An average residential system (5-10 kW) costs between 500,000 and 2,000,000 RSD, depending on size and components. With government subsidies, the price can be reduced by up to 50%. For an exact quote, schedule a free on-site assessment.
On average 4-6 years, with subsidies as little as 3 years. The payback depends on system size, consumption habits, and current electricity prices.
Yes! Modern panels produce even in diffused light, though less than in direct sunlight. We size the system on an annual basis, accounting for seasonal variations.
Almost any: tile, metal/trapezoidal, flat roof. During the on-site assessment we check the roof condition, load capacity and orientation.
The solar system remains part of the property and increases its value. Prosumer status is tied to the property, not the person.
Prosumer & subsidies
A prosumer (producer-consumer) is a household or business that produces its own renewable energy and feeds surplus back to the grid. In Serbia, a simplified procedure for obtaining prosumer status has been available since 2021.
Net metering means that what you produce but don't use appears as a credit on your bill. Annual settlement is on April 1st. Important: prosumer status must be obtained by December 31, 2026, after which a different system will apply.
No building or operating permit is needed for prosumer status. The process is simplified: system installation → meter point conversion → EPS contract.
The government and municipality jointly cover up to 50% of costs. The municipality opens applications annually. SolarHero helps with the entire application process.
Prosumers registered by December 31, 2026 keep net metering for the full system lifetime. After that, a new settlement system takes effect — details are not yet known.
Service & warranty
Panels carry a 25-year performance warranty (min. 87% performance after 25 years (Tier-1 manufacturers, e.g. JA Solar, Longi, Trina)). Inverters typically have a 10-year warranty. We provide a separate warranty on workmanship.
